Speaking to
www.manorhamiltonrangers.com Darren said “I have learned so much
over the years going all over the country playing against the best
teams in Ireland, talking to and watching
different managers and coaches working with their teams. In the past
2 years spent with Sligo Rovers I have gained invaluable experience
watching and learning from
Paul Cook and Gerry Carr.
I've also been involved with some of
the best coaches around like Niall Harrison the U15 National
Coach and the late Noel O’Reilly the former assistant to Brain Kerr,
Ryan Casey, Tony Mannion, Puaric Nicholson many more & this year
Gavin Dyke's who has taken charge from me and many more.I hope to
bring all my knowledge and experience that I have learned over the
years back to my home club. It will be hard for me to step into Joe
Kearney's shoes but I will try my very best. Joe did a fantastic job
and I'm glad he is staying on as a player and give me a few tips
along the way and I'm looking forward working with Eugene Gilgunn
and the new chairman Sean Gallagher and the clubs committee”
