Connacht Shield U16 Manorhamilton Rangers v Colga

The Bee Park, Manorhamilton is the place to be,
this Sunday afternoon, as Manor Rangers U16 soccer team take on
Galway side Colga in the semi final of the Connaught Shield. Manor
Rangers players have beaten tough opposition in their previous
matches to earn a deserved place in the Semi Final of this
prestigious competition. Over the past few months in the
competition, they have put in some tremendous performances against
club like Claremorris whom they defeated 6 – 3 away from home and
more recently beat Ballisodare 6 – 0 in probably their best
performance of the season.
This young
Manor Rangers are the current holders of the Sligo/ Leitrim league
which they won in the Showground’s last year. They also did
themselves proud last year, competing against strong international
competition in the Blackpool Cup. They reached the final of that
competition, only to lose out after extra time on penalties.
It is hoped
that parents, guardians, friends and supporters will attend the Bee
Park in Manorhamilton to support this very energetic and determined
Manor Rangers side. They have brought great honour on themselves,
their Club and community in the past number of years and deserve
support in the Semi Final of the Connaught Shield.
Kick off is at 2.00pm on Sunday the 15th
of March in the Bee Park.
The
management of the Club wish to thank everyone for their good wishes
for the game and look forward to a good attendance for this very
important match. Managers Billy Brick and Gabriel McSharry stated
“We are delighted with the development of this team. The lad’s are
totally committed, and we are confident of another supreme effort
from them. We know they won’t give up until the final whistle.”
